Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Dec. 11:

* Gage Anthony Showalter, 1406 Winding Road, Parkersburg, had a charge of battery dismissed without prejudice.

* Araya Mae Hammonds, 45 Mill Branch Road, Fenwick, had a preliminary hearing waived on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The case was transferred to Wood County Circuit Court.

* Raymond Floyd Goodwin II, 500 13th St. Apt. 305, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to second-offense shoplifting, less than $500, fined $276.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.

* Brayden Scott Brewster, 4308 Uhl St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order, fined $426.48 and sentenced to one year in jail with 19 days credit for time served. The sentence will run current to another charge. He had charges of misdemeanor violation of a protective order, stalking and violation of a protective order (nine counts) were dismissed, per a plea agreement. He also had charges of violating a final protective order (90 counts) dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Paul Anthony Welch, 4817 Crestview Circle, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to an immediate report of accidents violation, destruction of property, fined $362.96 and sentenced to 30 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.

* Raymond Floyd Goodwin II, 500 13th St. Apt. 305, Parkersburg, had a charge of third-offense shoplifting dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Hunter Riley Thomas, 1076 Otter Run, Ravenswood, pleaded guilty to destruction of property and fined $1,323.22.

* Carlee Renee Barnhart, 3276 Meadowview Dr., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction and fined $376.48. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Gary L. Tocke, 393 Argonne Dr., Kenmore, N.Y., pleaded guilty to reckless driving – no bodily injury, fined $676.48 and sentenced to five days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on six months of unsupervised probation. He had a charge dismissed of driving a vehicle in an impaired state, less than .15 BAC, dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Robin Louise Scott, 5 Wharton Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $176.48 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and she was placed on six months of unsupervised probation.

* Kendall Sean Ray, 824 West Virginia Ave., Parkersburg, had a charge of driving on a suspended license dismissed after obtaining a valid license.

* Austin Cole Smith, 46 Riverview Acres Apt. B, Washington, pleaded guilty to speeding, 75 mph in a 65 mph zone, and fined $186.48. A charge of having no insurance was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Thaxton Michael Ballengee, 736 Greene St., Marietta, pleaded guilty to failure to maintain control, having no proof of insurance and fined $572.96.

* Keith Jermaine Penn, 2305 36th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding (49 mph in a 45 mph zone) and fined $181.48.

* Rain Hazel Orndorff, 1711 Ninth Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance, having no operators license and fined $562.96. Charges of reckless driving and having no registration were dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Jasmine Sue Rollyson, 710 Pine Circle, Davisville, pleaded guilty to trespassing and fined $276.48.

* Carl Hayden Wilson Jr., 115 Jordan Lane Apt. 107, Mineral Wells, pleaded guilty to accidents involving damage to a vehicle, fined $226.48 and sentenced to 10 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He had charges of assault, having no insurance, operating a vehicle without temporary registration, having defective equipment, no seatbelts and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Ryan Bruce Dick, 1911 Neal St., Parkersburg, had charges of improper registration and having no proof of insurance dismissed after he presented proof of both to the court.

* Tamia Nichole Jones, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to obstruction and fined $236.48.

* Myron Eugene Anderson, 2503 Beverly St. Apt. 12B, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and driving without a license, fined $372.96 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation with a credit for two days for time served. A charge of driving without an inspection certificate was dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Aaron J. Smith, 2372 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, pleaded guilty to worthless check and fined $221.48

* Jon Edgar Ash, 92 Ewing Ridge Rd., Waverly, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Samuel Taylor Kincaid, 613 Riverview Dr., Belmont, pleaded no contest to speeding in a construction zone and fined $181.48.

* Autumn Marie Jones, 322 Egypt Run Rd., Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and fined $181.48. A charge of no registration was dismissed, per a plea agreement. Proof was provided to the court.

* William Arnold Archer, 17213 Parkersburg Road, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to having no registration and fined $181.48. He had charges of operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate and having no insurance dismissed, per a plea agreement.

* Austin Taylor George, 1414 22nd St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to having expired registration, having no operators license and fined $362.96.

* Michael J. Farmer, 1114 Williams St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speed limitations and fined $186.48.

* James Luke Powell, 1757 N. Pleasants Hwy, St. Marys, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $186.48.

* Ashley Gail Hardman, 723 Windsor Dr., Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $181.48.

* Dimitrius Shakur Brookman, 608 W.Va. Ave., Apt. 2, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of failure to produce operator’s license, having no proof of insurance, expired registration, expired MVI and driving on a suspended license and released on $1,000 bond.

* Janice L. Handschumaker, 9109 Slate Creek Road, Rockport, was arraigned on a charge of expired MVI and released on $100 bond.

* Jordan Michael Woodford, 101 Schilling St., Marietta, was arraigned on a charge of having no insurance and released on $500 bond.

* Charles Walter Romito, Washington, was arraigned on charges of domestic assault and interference with emergency communications and released on $2,000 bond.

* Brian Allen Allman, Waverly, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $2,500 bond.
