Rhonda Vincent & The Rage to headline bluegrass festival at Parkersburg Homecoming

PARKERSBURG – The Parkersburg Homecoming is proud to announce the “Queen of Bluegrass” Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, will be headlining the 24th Annual Johnny Staats Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Vincent is a multi-award winning bluegrass artist with a 2017 Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album, an Entertainer of the Year 2001, Song of the Year 2004, and unprecedented seven consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association 2000-2006 and an eighth win of IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 2015.

Her lifelong dream of becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry was realized on Feb. 6, 2021, when she was officially inducted.

Johnny Staats is an internationally known mandolin player that has stayed grounded in Sandyville, W.Va.

In 2000, his critically acclaimed first album Wares And Wood received worldwide attention. He was featured in the New York Times, People magazine, the Today Show and has made appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, but he has continued to work this full time day job through the years as a UPS driver and family man in West Virginia.

Staats was recently inducted into the 2026 West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame honoring his lifetime musical achievements and support for musical arts.

“I was surprised and very honored to be inducted.” he stated. “And to celebrate my 24th festival at Homecoming with my dear friend Rhonda Vincent makes this a very special year for me.”

The festival gets underway at 4 p.m.at Point Park Amphitheater Stage.
